Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the English Bujhbo mobile app and website (together, "the Service"). The Service is operated by English Bujhbo ("we," "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using English Bujhbo you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Notify us immediately at support@bujhbo.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

You agree to provide accurate information when you create your account and to keep that information up to date. You may delete your account at any time from inside the app (Profile → Settings → Delete account) or by emailing us.

3. The Service

3.1 What we provide

English Bujhbo offers daily lessons, vocabulary, quizzes, listening exercises, and speaking practice scored by an automated speech-recognition service. The free track (lessons 1 through 30) is available to every account. The full course (90 lessons) is available as a one-time paid upgrade through our website.

3.2 Speaking practice

When you use a speaking exercise, your voice recording is sent to a third-party speech-recognition service for transcription and is then discarded. Pronunciation scores are estimates based on automated comparison; they are not a substitute for assessment by a human teacher and we make no guarantee about their accuracy.

3.3 Service availability

We aim to keep the Service available at all times but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may take the Service offline for maintenance, upgrades, or to respond to security incidents. Some features (e.g. speaking practice) may be temporarily disabled if the underlying third-party services are unavailable.

4. Payments

4.1 One-time course purchase (web)

The full 90-lesson course is sold under two access plans, each as a one-time payment:

• 6 months of access, launch offer ৳795 (regular price ৳1,499).
• 12 months of access, launch offer ৳1,295 (regular price ৳2,999).

Both plans unlock all 90 lessons (tracks 1, 2, and 3) for the duration listed. Launch offer pricing is available for a limited time and may change without notice; the price you see at checkout is the price you pay. Payment is processed via EPS or another Bangladesh-licensed payment gateway.

4.2 No subscriptions

Each plan is a one-time payment for the duration shown. We do not operate any recurring subscription. Nothing will auto-renew. When your access period ends you may purchase another plan to continue, but you will never be charged automatically.

4.3 Refunds

If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from accessing the paid content and we cannot resolve it, contact support@bujhbo.com within 14 days of purchase to request a full refund. After 14 days, refunds are at our discretion. Refunds are credited to the original payment method.

4.4 Mobile app purchases

The Android version of the app does not currently sell digital content in-app. To purchase the full course, please use our website at bujhbo.com.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
• Share, sell, or transfer your account to anyone else
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, other accounts, or our systems
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or scrape the Service, or extract our lesson content for redistribution
• Submit content (including audio) that is illegal, harassing, or infringing
• Interfere with the operation of the Service, including by overloading our servers with excessive automated requests

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section without prior notice.

6. Content ownership

6.1 Our content

All lesson content, audio recordings, illustrations, mascots, and software in the Service are owned by English Bujhbo or our licensors and are protected by Bangladesh and international copyright law. You receive a personal, limited, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your own English-learning purposes only. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, or create derivative works from our content.

6.2 Your content

When you submit content (such as voice recordings for scoring, or your display name) you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to process that content for the purpose of operating the Service as described in our Privacy Policy. You represent that you own or have the right to submit any content you provide.

7. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if we believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraud or abuse, or pose a security risk. Where reasonable we will give you notice and a chance to cure the issue first.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, warranty disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that it will produce any particular learning outcome.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event will English Bujhbo, its directors, employees, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or ৳1,000, whichever is greater.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold English Bujhbo harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. Any dispute arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dhaka, Bangladesh.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. If the changes are material we will notify you in the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after a change indicates your acceptance of the revised Terms.
